Meridian Water will see the creation thousands of jobs created as part of meanwhile projects and also permanent roles. The development will represent a step-change away from industrial warehousing and logistics type-uses which are relatively plentiful in the Borough, offering higher skilled and higher paid employment opportunities for local people

We will develop a series of employment offers across the site, attracting major employers as well as start-ups, including the new meanwhile uses, a new cluster for fashion manufacturing and the creation of workspaces for makers, creators and artists.

Construction related roles

Meridian Water will see many opportunities for those working in construction and other related roles during the twenty year build programme. For details of Enfield Council Meridian Water job opportunities and those being offered by external partners working on the project, please visit here.

If you would like to move into a construction related role but do not think you have the skills then we are launching a construction academy in conjunction with Galliford Try Partnership, our partners on Meridian One. The facility will provide a programme of traineeships and apprenticeships to help local people gain the skills needed during the construction phase of the project and beyond. Details coming soon.

Opportunities for construction related businesses

There will also be many opportunities for local construction related businesses during the build programme, we are looking to encourage as many local businesses as want to, to be part of our supply change ensuing we gain social value beyond the construction elements of the project for Enfield residents. Like all Enfield Council tender opportunities, those relating to Meridian Water can be found on the London Tenders Portal.
