People can apply for a share of the funding from 12 November to 5pm on 31 December 2025 to deliver projects in Edmonton that will benefit the community.

The Community Chest will award successful applicants up to £10,000.

Application – Overview

The purpose of this grant is to support not-for-profit groups or organisations to deliver a community benefit in 1 or all 3 of the Edmonton Wards (Lower Edmonton, Upper Edmonton, Edmonton Green). This benefit should fall within the following categories:

• Improve a physical area within a community
• Improve an opportunity for local people i.e. around employment
• Improve life chances for young people
• Address health inequalities

Applications can be up to £10,000 in value.

To be eligible for a grant, applicants need to:

• Complete an application form including clear details of what the funds will be used for
• Provide supporting evidence
  • Group Terms of reference / Constitution / Annual report
    • applicants can be individuals working together as a local group as long as they have evidence of a ‘terms of reference’ for their group.
  • Company bank account information (funds will only be released to a company account)
  • Safeguarding documentation if request relates to working with young people

The application and all supporting documentation needs to be submitted online via the webform link below by 17:00 on Wednesday 31st December 2025. Please note late applications will not be accepted.

The assessment process will take place across January and February 2026, all applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by the end of February 2026.

Please note that funding is limited and every application will be considered on its individual merits, in addition successful applicants may not receive the full amount requested so please think about how you will complete your project if you do not receive the full amount.

Where bids are successful, applicants will need to keep us informed about the progress of their project once the funding has been made available. Successful bids will be published by the Council with projects tracked through their lifespan and further promotion and Public Relations undertaken. A monitoring and reporting schedule will be set out in full in the grant agreement for successful applicants.

Grant payments will be made as follows:

• Three quarters on signing of a legal binding grant contract agreement
• Final quarter on receipt of evidence of expenditure, project delivery and monitoring visit at the end of the project.
• All work must have completed and payments made by 31st December 2026.

Please note, all successful applicants will be required to promote the project and acknowledge the Councils funding. This must be included in the promotion of their project and their work including photos or physical outputs.

Please note that there is no appeal process and the decision of the panel is final.
