Meridian Water’s Community Garden wins Green Flag Award

Meridian One Community Garden in Upper Edmonton has been awarded a Green Flag Award, officially recognising it as one of the best green spaces in the country.

The award is a national mark of quality that celebrates well managed parks and green spaces across the United Kingdom. This year, just over two thousand two hundred and fifty sites received the honour.

Run by The Conservation Volunteers, the Meridian One Community Garden has become a much loved space for residents and visitors alike. The award is a reflection of the dedication and care shown by the team who maintain the garden and support the community through a range of free activities.

The garden is open throughout the year and hosts weekly Green Gym sessions every Wednesday and Thursday. These sessions are open to all and offer a chance to get involved with gardening, learn new skills, and enjoy the food that is grown on site.

The Conservation Volunteers is a national charity that helps people connect with nature and improve their local environment. Through projects like this one, they aim to support healthy lifestyles and stronger communities.
