Troubadour Meridian Water Studios, a brand new film studio complex in North London.
In 2021 phase 1 of The Troubadour Meridian Water Studios were completed bringing local economic benefits to Enfield. The new development consists of three studios totalling 65,000 square feet of state-of-the-art film production space. Future phases, to be delivered after the completion of Strategic Infrastructure Works, will double the total amount of studio space and deliver a Media Skills Academy and a Theatre.
This meanwhile project brings 10 acres of previously redundant brownfield land into productive reuse and will generate 35-50 jobs in phase 1 and 150-450 jobs in phase 2. The Troubadour Meridian Water studios also mark the first circular economy project on site, built out of recycled materials.
A new digital platform to allow the materials coming out of demolition projects to be reused, is being launched by Enfield Council, on 19 July.
Enfield Council has awarded more than £317,000 in funding to 19 projects delivering to the communities in the Edmonton wards that border the Meridian Water development.
Jules Pipe, the Deputy Mayor of London for Planning, Regeneration and Skills, will officially open Bloqs, the UK’s first open access workshop, in the heart of Enfield Council’s Meridian Water development in Edmonton, today (10 February).
