Final residents move into new homes at Meridian One A

The final residents are moving into Meridian One A as the first completed neighbourhood at Meridian Water comes to life with 301 new homes in Edmonton. This marks an exciting moment for local people starting their lives in a growing community supported by high-quality homes, over 90% of them affordable. The milestone was celebrated when the Leader of Enfield Council met one of the new residents who had recently moved into one of the final blocks.

£266,000 awarded to projects through the Community Chest

Enfield Council has celebrated a new round of Community Chest funding which has awarded £266,000 to 34 Edmonton projects that help residents gain skills, improve wellbeing and build confidence. The event also launched the Council’s social value policy which sets out how local spending will bring benefits to Enfield residents. Community Chest has previously funded two rounds of projects which brings the total funded to over £913,000 for 77 projects.

1,000 trees planted at Meridian Water

One thousand trees have been planted across Meridian Water as part of ongoing work to create greener streets and new public spaces in Edmonton. The trees are growing along new roads and within future parkland at Edmonton Marshes, helping improve air quality and support wildlife. The planting marks an important milestone in the Strategic Infrastructure Works (SIW) that are preparing the area for new homes and better public spaces. Residents will benefit from greener streets and a more welcoming environment.

New milestone for affordable homes at Meridian Water

Construction has reached its highest point at Meridian Two in Meridian Water as the main building frame has now been completed. The development will deliver 274 affordable homes on Leeside Road and help transform a former gas site into a new neighbourhood in Edmonton. The project will also include new commercial space that will support local businesses and jobs as the area grows. The milestone was marked by a topping out visit celebrating the highest point of the building.

Planning approval secured for next 676 homes at Meridian One

Planning approval has been secured for the next phase of homes at Meridian One, marking an important step in the continued development of Meridian Water. The updated plans allow work to move forward on Phase 1B, which will see 676 new homes built across three buildings. This phase adds to the success of the first stage, which recently delivered 301 homes in the area. The new homes will help meet housing demand while supporting the growth of this new neighbourhood in Edmonton. Want to know more about Meridian One?

Infrastructure progress continues at Meridian Water

Work on the Strategic Infrastructure Works (SIW) at Meridian Water continues to move forward with important milestones reached in recent weeks. The sides and balustrades of four new bridges have now been installed, bringing the bridges close to completion. Work has also finished on the culvert structure on Harbet Road, which helps manage water flow and improve flood resilience in the area. These works are part of wider improvements that will deliver new roads and better connections for Edmonton.
