The Community Chest

The Community Chest

The Community Chest provides funds to local community groups, improving neighbourhoods closest to Meridian Water in the wards of Upper Edmonton, Edmonton Green and Lower Edmonton which are some of the most deprived in the UK.

The Fund is helping to bridge the gap with other parts of the Borough, ensuring local residents are the primary beneficiaries of investment brought to the area.

Round 2

Twenty-four fantastic local projects have been awarded a share of £333,000 through the second round of Meridian Water’s Community Chest.

The Community Chest was set up to support grassroots charities, social enterprises, and not-for-profit groups in Edmonton. This round has focused on sports, education, and wellbeing, helping local organisations run projects that will make a lasting difference for residents.

More than one hundred applications were received earlier this year, reflecting the passion, creativity, and commitment of the Edmonton community. After careful review, funding has been awarded to a diverse mix of initiatives launching from September 2025.

The Community Chest is made possible thanks to the ongoing support of Meridian Water’s partners, such as Vistry, whose contributions have helped bring these vital community projects to life.
